Who we are
Brookline 24/7 Plumbing is based at 310 Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner. We dispatch emergency and planned plumbing work across Brookline and the nearby places on our service area page.
We do not publish owner or technician biographies on this site, and we do not claim awards or review counts we cannot show you. What we can state plainly is how we work.
How we work
Dispatch answers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You describe the problem, we ask a few questions and we send a crew. Same-day appointments are offered when a crew is available.
You get a clear price before work starts. If the job turns out to be bigger than it looked, we stop and talk to you before we go further. Work that needs a permit is handled by a licensed plumber, because in Massachusetts permits for plumbing work are issued only to licensed plumbers.
Need a plumber right now?
Dispatch is open 24/7. Call and we confirm your address first.
What we do and do not do
We handle drains, water heaters, leaks, sewer lines, boilers, sump pumps and commercial plumbing. We do not do structural foundation repair, electrical work or fire suppression, and we will say so if your problem needs another trade.
If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 or National Grid at 1-800-233-5325 before you call us.
Why a Brookline-based line
Most of Brookline's housing is older. The median home was built in 1938, more than half of the units date from before 1940, and three quarters sit in buildings with two or more units (Census ACS, 2020 to 2024). That mix means shared drain stacks, basement boilers, galvanized supply lines and apartments stacked above one another.
Plumbing in a building like that is rarely a one-fixture problem. A leak in one unit can reach another, and a backup can come from a stack shared with the neighbors. Having dispatch based in Coolidge Corner, a few minutes from Beacon Street and Harvard Street, helps us reach those buildings quickly and know what the street layout looks like.
We also know where the lines of responsibility fall. In Brookline the Town handles blockages in the public sewer main and the homeowner owns the service line from the building to the main. The Town's water and sewer emergency line, 617-730-2175, is answered 24/7, and we tell callers when that is the right first call.
Where our local information comes from
We do not guess at local facts. Water information comes from MWRA's published reports, sewer and permit rules from the Town of Brookline and state law (248 CMR for plumbing), housing figures from the Census, and heating rules from the Massachusetts guidance on heating season.
Where we could not confirm something, such as billing schedules or flood-zone details, our pages say so or send you to the Town. If you spot a page that is out of date, email contact@247plumberbrookline.com and we will check it.
What happens when you call
A person answers and asks for your address and what you see. We tell you what to shut off or avoid while a crew is on the way, such as the main valve, the breaker for a wet area, or the drains in a backup.
The technician confirms the problem, gives you a clear price before work starts and explains the options in plain words. If the fix needs a permit, a licensed plumber handles it. If the job turns out to be bigger than it looked, we stop and talk to you before going on.
Questions about how we work
Yes, we are licensed and insured. In Massachusetts you can verify any plumber's license through the state's Check a License service. We do not print a license number on this site, so ask the technician for theirs and look it up before work starts.
No. We handle residential and light commercial plumbing, drains, sewers, water heaters, boilers, leaks and sump pumps. We do not do structural foundation repair, electrical work or fire suppression, and we will tell you when a job belongs to another trade.
